Steelers DE, Josh Mauro Showing Promise

Call Now: 877-913-4549
Josh Mauro was expected to be a mid-round pick in the 2014 NFL draft. He was passed by all 32 teams, all 7 times. The Pittsburgh Steelers soon after the draft signed Mauro. Early in his career, Mauro has shown that having a chip on his shoulder is not without a cause. After missing a tackle early in the first preseason game vs the New York Gaints. Mauro, the next drive had a massive bullrush and disturbed the passing lane for Giants QB, Nassib.
In the gif image below, you can see that Josh Mauro gets impressive penetration on QB, Nassib. In effect, ending the drive.

Taylor, Polamalu Each Fined $15,000 For Unnecessary Roughness

Call Now: 877-913-4549

The NFL are cracking down even harder on the Steelers this year and it's shown right out of the shoot. Ike Taylor and Troy Polamalu were fined for events that happened last week.

Troy Polamalu's Situation:

Now Troy Polamalu, in my opinion shouldn't of been fined, Ray Rice was pushing and shoving him after the play and what he was doing was trying to rip the ball out while Rice wasn't down, then Ray Rice acted unnecessarly after the play taking Polamalu down.

There was no flag for the Ravens but there was one on Steelers Cornerback, Ike Taylor, which I understood.

Ike Taylor's Situation:

Ike deserved this flag and the fine. He did a little bit of unnecessary contact after the play, late in the third quarter even though throughout the game the Baltimore Ravens were tripping officials, doing helmet-to-helmet contact with Ben Roethlisberger and not getting flagged and doing such unnecessary contact.

So, to break it down, Ike should of been the only one who should of been fined. This is just proof that the NFL is targeting the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Troy Polamalu Signs 4 Year Contract Extension

Call Now: 877-913-4549
Troy Polamalu Collecting another
 interception.

It's a happy day for Steeler Nation and espically their future Hall Of Fame, veteran Strong Saftey Troy Polamalu who signed a four year contract extension. Troy Polamalu has been saying the last few or so weeks that he "wants to retire as a Steeler". So, well it looks like it.

Polamalu, 30 reurned to his old self last season with matching his personal best at the interceptions department with 7 in 2010 matched his 2008 total.
Troy is coming off a season to remember mainly from being awarded with the National Football League's Defensive Player of The Year, who had the best season yet.

It is no doubt that Troy is the best saftey in the league, he is untouchable to what other Saftey's have to offer. I mean the only saftey that is comparable to Troy is Ed Reed who is coming into this season with little optimism with that neck injury.

So, Troy will be bringing it again this season on that "Stairway To Seven".

Wideout, Antonio Brown Looks Poised For Breakout Season

Call Now: 877-913-4549

Pittsburgh Steelers Wide Receiver, Antonio Brown appears to have the number 3 receiver this pre-season and possibly will have it going into the regular season. There is no competition due to Emmanuel Sanders going down in practice and will miss some time this training camp but, is expected to be ready for Week 1 @ Baltimore. Antonio Brown showed promise last season with a kick return that went for a touchdown in week 2 at Tennesse and various plays in key situations of games such as the Divisional Playoff againts Baltimore where he had a 58 yard reception that set up the winning score. Now, my personal opinion is that Antonio Brown will have 800 or more yards, 5 touchdowns and around the ballpark of 40 receptions...Not that bad for a third receiver.

7 Bold Predictions For The Pittsburgh Steelers In 2011

Call Now: 866-371-4649
So, recently I was on BleacherReport.com and I saw an article titled "Pittsburgh Steelers: 5 Bold Predicitions For The 2011 Season." And well, it interested me and I decided to make my own bold predictions plus 2 for the reason that super bowl victory number seven is for the Pittsburgh Steelers this year.

#7: Mike Wallace- Will Lead The AFC In Receieveing Yards And Touchdowns.

Third year Wide Receiver, Mike Wallace had a breakout 2010 season with 1,257 yards and 10 touchdowns in just his second season. Personally as a Steelers fan I believe he will have at least 1,500+ yards and 13 touchdowns. He is turning into that "guy" who can run down the field and give any cornerback problems. His 4.25 combine speed with his route running skills that improved over last season will definitely bring the Steelers back to the Super Bowl.

#6:James Harrison And LaMarr Woodley Will have 14+ Sacks

The outside linebacking duo of James Harrison and LaMarr Woodley has caused havoc on nearly every quarterback in the league. Since 2008, it's been either Harrison or Woodley having a good season but there hasn't yet been a season where both have had sack totals above 14, this will be the year where they both have "Defensive Player Of The Year" type seasons. Harrison, 33 came off a season of... well, success and controversy being fine $100,000 in hits that were borderline with the most memorable game where he knocked out Browns Wide Recievers, Mohamed Massaquoi and Joshua Cribbs. Harrison finished 3rd in Defensive Player of the year votes only behind teammate, Troy Polamalu and Packers Linebacker Clay Matthews.

#5: Ben Roethlisberger Will Have 35+ Touchdown Passes

So, my next rather bold prediction is that Quarterback, Ben Roethlisberger will have thrown 35 touchdowns through the air in 2011. Why I believe he will is that Wide Receivers, Hines Ward, Mike Wallace and young talent like Antonio Brown, Emmanuel Sanders, Wes Lyons and Tyler Grisham can become valuable targets this season. Like you already know what my take is of Mike Wallace coming up this season, he'll be among the best, if not the best receiever this season, but Hines will have another 1,000+ yard season. Plus, Isaac "redzone" Redman may catch some passes for touchdowns as well.

#4: Steelers Secondary Will Have 15 Interceptions

Yes, you heard it first from here, people say the Steelers have a secondary that doesn't make any noise besides the legendary Troy Polamalu. I have to disagree, last season after the Steelers lost to the Patriots in week 10, the Steelers for the last 6 weeks finished 1st in the NFL and finished with a 12th ranked pass defense. That will carry over this season, with the addition of Curtis Brown and Cortez Allen the Steelers will have ball-hawking corners and troy Polamalu alone will have 8 interceptions. Of course, Ike Taylor is a stand-out corner known for shutting receivers down, he'll for sure have a few of his own interceptions. Heck, even McFadden will. So, that is why I believe that the Steelers secondary will infact have 15 interceptions.

#3: Steelers Will Sweep The Division

With all the Ravens trading, releasing and all the transactions they have been doing in the off-season and training camp, I really don't see them being able to beat the Steelers, if Ben Roethlisberger is healthy and is around for weeks 1 and 9 I would say that the Steelers will sweep the division, I mean everybody and their 4 year old brother knows that the Bengals and Browns will be blown out both matchups so, yes the Steelers are going 6-0 in the division.

#2: The Steelers In Week 1 WILL Blow Out The Ravens

Now this rather bold prediction is kinda hard to think through because usually when the Steelers and Ravens play, it's close, down to the wire (excluding 2007 Week 9 when the Steelers won 38-7) but, I really don't think that the Ravens can hang with us. So, If you know me personally, I don't usually predict scores but I see the Steelers winning by 3 touchdowns in the week 1 match-up against Baltimore.

#1: Steelers Will Win Super Bowl XLVI In Indianpolis

Yep, that's right the Steelers WILL win their seventh super bowl on February 5th, 2012. We fell short last season in Dallas but I really do believe that we will get a first round by to get into the playoffs and win it all.

Hines Ward Back On The Field

Call Now: 877-913-4549

Steelers Wide Receiver, Hines Ward will return to training camp after coming off the PUP (physically unable to perform) list who just recently recovered from thumb surgery. Ward has had a very unusual off-season and a career low 2010 season. But, Hines main object in the next few seasons is to be a mentor for the young talent at the receiver position. Such names as Antonio Browns, Emmanuel Sanders and Wes Lyons all coming  into their second season along with Wallace the Steelers are by far getting much younger at wide receiver.

Troy Polamalu, Steelers working on new contract

Call Now: 877-913-4549
In the last few or so days, the Steelers  have been doing a lot of transactions...Not the type you're thinking of, transactions like Ben Roethlisberger along with James Harrison taking pay cuts for recently re-signed Pro Bowl Outside Linebacker, LaMarr Woodley who signed a 6 year contract. Now the latest rumor(s) is that Troy Polamalu is seeking a new contract. Polamalu, 30 is still in his prime after winning Defensive player of the year and tying personal best,  7 interceptions last season after a horrendous 2009 campaign. It's obvious that Troy wants to stay with Pittsburgh for the rest of his career so, it looks like it will be in the ballpark of a 5 year deal if so then, he can retire a Steeler.
